Shawn's WCSS3/Trip Pictures--Sorry I didn't take more! Video clips to follow..will take more time though.
First day out from Iowa made a stop in Billings Montana. Sadie and I
had never gone camping together before but it worked out well. Our tent
from Ebay appears to be all here but we had checked it all out before leaving
home of course.
Arrival
at WCSS3 at Thurston County ORV park. Mountain Grizz showed up in one
piece but I knew that ahead of time because I had enough sense to call
Mick. (were the Iowa Subaru Nuts) Sadie shot this one :)
Added
this one today, I don't know how I forgot it. Owners are Shawn (not me
shawn but the guy in the car in the pic) and Eric Z.
The
"Hatch Patrol" entered the meet's show off your Subaru area first, and
deserved to as they were the only ones that could top the bark pile :-)
From Left its Qman, EricZap(secretmobile), and MikeW's Subaru's on this part of
the pile.
(L-R)MikeW,
Ralph(not on board), McBrat. Not sure who owns the Gen1 Brat, and then
Kurt's Brat is on the edge of the pics.
Kurts
Brat is in this pic as well, he won the Best Brat Award. He also washed
his in the morning in the campground area unlike (anybody!). So Kudos to
him!
Jason
(not on board), Chewy(in the photo too with his rig), and Mudrat.
The
cleaner side of the pile hosted the "straight" EA81 and a few Ea82
models. Qman is standing behind the newest addition to their fleet and 84
Turbo Wagon. Nice auction find that took 2nd in EA81 Class.
This
pic shows a hotted up Xt6 that came to the show, and Szigi's hatch on the right
side of the pic. Ralph's hatch is in the middle the one with the rims that
match the car paint.
Some
guys know how to treat a Subaru :-)
Turbone
L, EdRach's (middle son) Sons wagon, and
EdRachs (youngest) son's wagon
Turbone
Emailed me this pic taken by SubieGal, thanks to both of you. I managed to
get a lot of shadows in my pictures, she may have taken pictures later in the
day than I did. Chef Tim's Buddy (I have forgotten his name!) with the
Colorado hatch is to the right of Turbone.
Qman
and the TurboWagon, RichieRich's 84 Turbo Coupe, Turbone, and like above the
mystery wagon.
Erics
dog being chased by his wife, and a front view of the machines in the above pics.
Cool
decal that was on Richies Coupe.
NV
Zeno found a mud puddle. This wagon is just dying for Hatch Patrol
Status. First it needs some street dents and more abuse but until then it
makes a great car.
Mick
and RichieRich beside the coupe.
My
wife caught me! DOH! Mick and Richie as well.
I
made Kurt look at the camera. Sorry dude!
See
Mud Must Play...already out playing.
Ross
from Idaho. This lil gem did super playing on the trails and then Mudrat
put it through its paces on the rally course and showed the WRX's a piece of the
old school side. Well done!!!
A
rarely seen mud shot of Mountain Grizz. This rig did what it was built to
do.
A
muddy brat, at WCSS3? Who would believe it? Owner please come
forward.
MikeW's
machine. What a piece of work.
SubieGal's
Impreza in the flesh.
PkDavis
and I standing amongst Beautiful Scenery. (Subaru's)
My
wife Sadie standing by what she thinks she should drive....Oh you mean something
like Eric Zap's Brat right?? SVX is still the right brand so maybe if she
plugs that piggy bank Ill let her buy one.
Qman's
family fleet (part of it) My 90 Legacy snuck in.
Lewy's
Sweet 85 4WD Turbo Wagon. Sorry about getting your good half in the
picture. Was snapping fast.
ChefTim's
Subaru and Trailer and his buddy from Colorado's 86 Hatchback. This little
hatch pulled ChefTim and the Trailer pictured, 2 dogs and 3 adults 50
miles! AMAZING To say the least.
Eric
and his friend (a non subaru owner working on conversion) and MikeW talking
about the next mudhole.
She
caught us again. Eric, Mick and me with my wandering hand that likes to
blur the images.
Hey
Richie snuck out from behind me. Neat.
Hmmm..a
brat in the hatch patrol. Secret no more!
"Man,
how much crap(I mean Subaru stuff) can Shawn pile into a Legacy?"
Another
one from EdRach's Stable, the fastest one apparently deserves to be in the
rally. The brat in front of it is also from that stable, his oldest Son
drives this one. IT took first place in the truck/Suv class at the
rallycross!
Mick(Left),
Me (ShawnW), and Brian aka SubaruJunkie(Right)
"Look
at all my Subaru Collectibles!!"
Heres
a poor shot! Oh well its a cpl of Subaru's at the rally so it stays.
Darn we have to leave! Here's some taken on the way home.....
Rob,
aka SubaruWeenie with the 2 Rots.
Chef
Tims rig with custom built trailer in the same rest area.
Subaru's
Cant Tow? BULL! Here's my 90 Legacy flat towing my new to me 83 Turbo
Wagon. Maybe have this one ready for next years show! I didn't to
this way all the way home though, just from Rapid City South Dakota to NW
Iowa. Over 500 miles but not 2000 thru the mountains. Uhaul trucks
are for that :-). Thanks for loaning me the Towbar Mick.
Adding
more weight to the load. LOL Nah
The
"Loaded 83 Turbo Wagon"...loaded with parts that is!
I
found some wheels with super rubber on them at the Everett Pick N Pull. I couldn't
resist bringing them home but the only place to store them was on the
wagon :-)
Anybody
have a lead one where to find one of these with all the gold still on it?
